Who We Are

KnowledgeBricks is a knowledge capture services business operated by Applied Continuity LLC dba KnowledgeBricks, an Indiana company based in Indianapolis. We work on site with our clients' specialists and deliver a structured knowledge vault the client owns. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle through this website (knowledgebricks.com) and during client engagements, and how we treat it.

This Website

This website has no accounts, no logins, and no payments. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.

When you contact us: the contact form asks for your name, email address, company, area of interest, and message. We receive it by email at hello@knowledgebricks.com, and a copy is kept in a folder on our web server that is closed to public access. We use it only to reply to you and to discuss a possible engagement.

Technical data: like any website, our web host records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to operate and secure the site. The contact page loads a background image from Unsplash, which will see your IP address when it serves that image.

Client Engagement Material

During an engagement we handle recordings, transcripts, notes, documents, and other material from your organization and your personnel. The terms for that material are set by our mutual non-disclosure agreement and the statement of work for the engagement. Where those documents and this policy differ, those documents govern. In every case:

  • Your material remains yours at all times, as set out in our Terms of Service.
  • Access is limited to the named practitioners working your scope.
  • Material is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • It is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any model or product offered to another client or to the public. Where tooling assists the structuring work, it operates on your material alone.
  • At the end of an engagement, source material is returned or destroyed to your instruction, and we certify destruction in writing on request. Where a pilot does not proceed, work product is deleted within 30 days.

Hosted search: if you choose our optional hosted search, the vault is stored with the hosting provider named in your statement of work or order, and used only to run search for your organization. You can end hosted search and keep using your files without it.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising or profiling. We share it only with the service providers we need to run this website, our email, and your engagement, each limited to that purpose, or where required by law, court order, or valid legal process. Applied Continuity LLC is not itself SOC 2 certified. Where we use third-party infrastructure, those providers hold their own certifications, and we share sub-processor documentation for procurement review on request.

Retention

We keep contact form enquiries for as long as needed to respond and to follow up on a possible engagement. Engagement material is kept for the engagement and then returned or destroyed as described above. You may ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing privacy@knowledgebricks.com. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks). These rights may include:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal data
  • The right to request deletion of your personal data
  • The right to restrict or object to certain processing activities
  • The right to data portability, receiving your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
